To patch or not to patch IV – back to the orthoptist

So, now that you are up to speed with the family holiday from the end of May, it is probably time that I get you up to speed with the adventures of the Bagnalls during June, even though it is nearly August.  Life is certainly taking precedence over telling you all about it – and that is how it should me.

I will take you back to the beginning of June.  We have just arrived back from our holiday in Croatia (via Italy and Slovenia) and the Baguettes are back at school for their last stretch before the summer break, while Lucinda and I return to work. Read more

This year’s trip to Foreign lands – part I

As you may recall, last year the Bagnalls left the shores of the U.K. at half term and headed to the Veneto coast of Italy for our first taste of a Eurocamp holiday.  If you read those (there are two) entries you will realise that we thoroughly enjoyed it and although it is not quite as simple as turn up at the airport with your suitcases and passports (for example: you have to think about food a little more than the all-inclusive style holidays) it works out to be less than half the cost (with food included) than a package holiday and it encourages you to leave the resort and explore the country that you have come to visit.  Therefore, it was not long after we returned from Italy that our thoughts turned to this year’s holiday and whether booking early could give us an advantage. Let’s not talk about politics

After a strong start to the year in terms of the frequency of website updates, I have stalled in recent weeks and have fallen behind my attempts at updating at least once a fortnight.  This may have disappointed some of you, but I make no apologies, life has to take precedence over letting you know about it.  Unfortunately, it is not because I have been busy with the family, which would be a more acceptable excuse, but more that the football seasons are heading to their inevitable conclusion, coupled with the Eurovision Song Contest and umpteen other sports that require televisual production and so I have been spending a little more time at work than usual.
