This year’s trip to Foreign lands – part II

Nearly a month after we came back and over a week since part I, here at last is part II.  If you have not read part I, please click here to get up to speed with the first part of the holiday and, probably more importantly, to see thirty of the holiday photos.

So, as you may recall we went to bed early on the Monday morning as we had booked a day trip along the Croatian coast for Tuesday.  The coach was to leave at 0800 and to get all five of us up and out meant some morning organising and we were supposed to be on holiday! Read more

This year’s trip to Foreign lands – part I

As you may recall, last year the Bagnalls left the shores of the U.K. at half term and headed to the Veneto coast of Italy for our first taste of a Eurocamp holiday.  If you read those (there are two) entries you will realise that we thoroughly enjoyed it and although it is not quite as simple as turn up at the airport with your suitcases and passports (for example: you have to think about food a little more than the all-inclusive style holidays) it works out to be less than half the cost (with food included) than a package holiday and it encourages you to leave the resort and explore the country that you have come to visit.  Therefore, it was not long after we returned from Italy that our thoughts turned to this year’s holiday and whether booking early could give us an advantage. If we had no Winter, the Spring would not be so pleasant

We are half way through April and the Baguettes have not been to school this month.  A relatively late Easter has meant that the fortnight break between the Spring and Summer terms has so far prevented the Baguettes from attending class this month.  Unfortunately, their two-week break has coincided with a busy time for me at work so most of the childcare has fallen to Lucinda.     Read more
