Welcome to the website of the Bagnalls – a little window on our World. The website was originally envisioned to be a record of the progress of our first child, Éowyn, but has grown to encompass not only our other two children, but our pets and other life events. I am attempting to keep it more on the simple side and focused on family life but forgive me if I go astray.
Read moreI begun this website/ blog in October 2008 as a way of keeping friends and family up to date with the news of Éowyn Vera, our first born. As of September 2010 there was double the reason to update this website: Amélie Iris made our family into a quartet. On Wednesday 13th March 2013 our family grew once more becoming a quintet with the birth of Ezra John.
Read moreLucinda and I were married on the 20th July 2007 (20.07.2007 – have to try and make it easy to remember somehow) at St. David’s School in Ashford, Middlesex. On that morning, England awoke to a deluge of diluvian proportions. Over a month’s worth of rain fell (although that seems barely creditable from our photos) resulting in large areas of the country flooded.
Read moreI promised another couple of write-ups over the following week or so and I try to keep my promises. Indeed, I thought it wise to attempt a September summary before the girls’ birthdays warrant pages of their own and I miss the opportunity, somewhat like the previous update.

Incredibly belated, indeed it is not just the end of the summer holidays as we are now, officially, in Autumn. I thought that last year’s summary of the summer holidays was late, I have surpassed myself this year. Genuinely, I had second thoughts as to whether I should continue with the write-up as some of the events described below happened nearly two months ago. However, I know, that a lot of my ‘readers’ are only here for the photos and there are some nice photos so I have decided that I would put the effort in and describe the events that lead to them. On international ‘be late for something day‘ Ezra began his journey through full-time education. Yes, the youngest of our three children has now reached the age deemed by the UK that compulsory education should begin and thus all three of the Baguettes are at school.
